The Last Long Weekend of Summer

People gathered on a grassy shore at sunset beside a calm lake, framed by tall trees.

Labour Day is the summer’s last curtain call.

Every campground is full, every fire is lit, and every kid is trying to squeeze in one more long swim before school.

It’s loud. It’s glorious. And it ends on Monday. That’s the point.

So make the most of it:

  • arrive Friday, not Saturday
  • swim before breakfast
  • bring more firewood than you think
  • let the s’mores happen
  • stay up for the last fire

September has a way of sneaking up. Meet it by the water.

Pack up slowly on Monday morning. Look back once. The lake will still be there next year.
