Following the Colour

Autumn doesn’t arrive all at once. It travels.
It starts quietly in the far north, where the first birches turn gold, then slips south along the winding highways, setting the hills on fire one ridge at a time.
You can follow it. Choose a quiet road, then drive with the windows down.
- maple red
- aspen gold
- oak, warm rust-brown
- tamarack, last of all
Pull over often. The very best view is rarely the one on the postcard.
You’re not chasing the leaves. You’re racing the weather, and winning.
Park somewhere quiet, pour something warm, and let it fall around you.
