Reserve Early, Wander Late

A motorhome parked on a gravel loop among spruce trees in a campground at twilight, in Banff, Alberta.

Popular campgrounds fill up fast. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that one reservation is the only plan you really need.

Book the site early, and everything else can stay loose:

  • no schedule
  • no rush at the gate
  • no circling the loop at dusk, hoping

Once the spot is yours, the days are wide open. Take the trail that looks most interesting. Stop at the stand selling peaches. Linger over the second, slower coffee.

Plan the place. Wander the rest.

You’ll still end up somewhere you didn’t expect. You’ll just have a bed waiting when you get there.
